E.g. Your at a Taxi Rank or flagged, customer gets in and tells you their location and you turn on meter and drive off and literally few yards later customer asks how much that would be? once you give them estimate price they think its too high and say no sorry could you let me out?

Am i in my right to ask for the fare displayed on the meter? or is it the customers right to get out?

They’ve hired your vehicle, if you’ve moved off the rank then you’re entitled to to the fare shown, whether that be after 100 yds or 100 miles.

The customer has every right to get out whenever they wish, however they pay what's on the meter first.

When they got in and you pulled off, that's a contract.
