Most of our guys have been told they will be paid 100% of their school contract money. A friend of mine is one of those lucky enough to be in this group. He has decided not to work the ranks while he is being paid this. I wonder how many others will be as thoughtful as he towards the rest of us independents (without school contracts) trying to keep the wolf from the door ?

I had this chat with one of the local operators who rang me to say that B&H council will pay 100% up to Easter.

Not sure he got it, and I'm now not sure it will matter as I suspect we will all be told to stay at home.

Ive 2 cars with a run each

County have said 23rd-27th both will be paid in full regardless of useage

of the 4 kids only 1 has a key worker parent, she works 3 days per week

a county staff member messaged us saying the final long term result looks to be a 50-65% payment for non operated routes

of course that will break hearts at county...lol

That is good news for those undertaking school runs, but drivers must ensure they get their money rather than the operator.

I also suspect drivers receiving this money will not be eligible for any self employment grants that may be announced this week.

In other words you can't claim no work whilst claiming for work.

If we get paid for our school runs our drivers will not need to claim anything else.

We have been advised that The XXXXXX XXXXXXXXXX School sites are closed after today for most students due to COVID-19.

Therefore please make the following cancellations until further notice:

We will advise you when transport is required again.

Thanks

so ask... remind them there is a cabinet notice and many other areas are paying inline with procurement policies
