And is it only me getting miffed off with the press?
To me they are merely trying to point score rather than inform the good folks of the UK.
Good piece on Spiked (below) about how the media's various claims about Dominic Cummings have collapsed, and how you won't read about the true facts.
Anyway, it's years since I really watched the TV news much, and hardly watch TV at all now. So when lockdown kicked off, one of my first acts of belt tightening was to send my TV licence back for a refund. Never heard a peep. But they keep sending me emails saying that my licence will expire on Sunday unless I reinstate my Direct Debit.
But they're not getting another penny.
Have been putting the TV on occassionally to watch some Covid news, but just underlines that I'm glad I sent the licence back.
Example - headline on BBC News at lunchtime: "Trump threatens to shoot protesters". Bollocks, he threatened to shoot *looters*. Trump's tweet was OTT, and he is an ignorant blowhard, but plain misrepresentation by the BBC.
Anyway:
The media story about Dominic Cummings has collapsedhttps://www.spiked-online.com/2020/05/2 ... collapsed/This has been a truly shocking week for British journalism.
