Hi,

I've been thinking about becoming a taxi driver for a while and hoping to get my licence as soon as i turn 21.

I believe if i phone the Licensing Committe at Dundee City Council Support Services Department i should be able to get an application form for my licence from here?

Can anybody give me advice on what else will happen.

I know i'll have to sit a street test is this random or as mentioned in other area's a set amount of streets? Is it easy to get a hold of this list if it's a set amount.

Also what is required for the medical? And can i apply for my licence before i reach 21 so i have it for turning 21

Thanks very much in advance :)

Best stick to what the man at the council says.

But you will have to be CRB checked, medical checked, do a street/address check, and no-doubt a few things more.

But once you have your license, it's yours for many years. So it will all be well worth it.
