What happened to getting an offer you couldn't refuse and retiring to the sun ?

No money no [edited by admin], as the madam said in Harlots.

You accused me of being unhinged and there you are buying a new vehicle at the height of the pandemic !

I never called you unhinged. Ever. However, if the cap fits...

And if I want to buy a new vehicle, that’s my business, isn’t it?

At least you can still have the wedding although this is the first one I have heard of that hasn't been cancelled! I hope the sun shines and everyone enjoys the day anyway and of course people can always attend virtually.

The absurdity of the new “rules” are that thirty people can attend a funeral, but only fifteen a wedding.
Now to put it in simple terms so that you might just understand, the wedding celebrant, or registrar, and assistant are included in the fifteen. Bride and groom, and their two children bring that down to nine. Parents, down to six. Brides brother and family down to one. Grooms sister and family down to minus two. Best man, friends, etc. Still with me Edd? Why 30 at a funeral, 15 at a wedding? What’s the difference? Well at a wedding you get to smell your own flowers.

Stupid,stupid,stupid.

Do you really believe that they know what they are doing?

From the www.gov.uk website.
“Transport workers are NOT required to wear a face covering by law”

So, wear one if you want to, not, repeat not, compulsory.

Following on from Jimbo's in-depth analysis above ( ) the DfT have updated their Transport Guidance today (23/9/20).

In the updated guidance for punters it basically says punters must wear masks.

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... passengers

Taxis and private hire vehicles

You must observe social contact rules when using taxis and private hire vehicles in England.

You must wear a face covering when using taxis or private hire vehicles. A taxi driver or private hire vehicle operator will be entitled to refuse to accept you if you do not wear a face covering.

The risk of transmission is small at 2 metres and where possible, you should maintain 2 metres distance.

If you cannot keep a 2 metre distance, reduce the risk to yourself and others by maintaining a 1 metre distance where possible, and taking suitable precautions.

Follow the advice of the operator and driver. For example, you may be asked to sit in the back left-hand seat if travelling alone. You may want to check with your taxi or private hire operator before travelling if they have put any additional measures in place.

You should use contactless payment if possible, or find out if you can pay online in advance.

Be aware of the surfaces you touch. Be careful not to touch your face. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the inside of your elbow when coughing or sneezing.

When finishing your journey wash your hands for at least 20 seconds or sanitise your hands as soon as possible.

The updated guidance for operators confirms that it is only guidance that drivers should wear masks.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -operators

Face covering use by transport workers

The mandatory requirement for using face coverings does not apply to staff while they are working. The requirement does however apply to staff while they are not working, for example, when travelling to or from work on public transport, or if they enter a shop or supermarket in a transport hub before or after shifts, or whilst on a break.

In any case, face coverings offer some benefits in work situations where social distancing is difficult to manage. For example, when working in passenger facing roles including when providing assistance to disabled passengers.

Public health advice is that staff (including taxi and private hire vehicle drivers) wear a face covering when they are unable to maintain social distancing in passenger facing roles, recognising that there will be exceptional circumstances when a staff member cannot wear a face covering, or when their task makes it sensible (based on a risk assessment) for them not to wear a face covering.

If staff do wear a face covering it is important that they follow the guidance on face coverings. You should support them in using face coverings safely. This means telling workers to:

i) wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser before putting a face covering on, and after removing it
ii) avoid touching their face or face covering, to prevent contamination with germs from their hands – this is particularly important
iii) change their face covering if it becomes damp or if they’ve touched it
iv) continue to wash their hands regularly
v) change and wash their face covering daily
vi) if the material is washable, wash in line with manufacturer’s instructions – if it’s not washable, dispose of it safely
practise social distancing wherever possible

Workers should be made aware face coverings can prevent some disabled people from accessing oral information and instructions (from staff and fellow passengers).

We refused a customer today for not wearing a face covering and got a whole lot of abuse and a bad review and the punter went on social media telling everyone not to use us.
All in a days work.

So to all the sheeple out there that think face coverings will be their salvation, make sure you follow the above guidelines on wearing them or you are wasting your time. #futile gestures .com

You’re not going to be happy until everyone has to wear a face covering 24/7 are you?

If it should ever happen, watch all your work disappear down the plug hole.

A chap down the street from me has erected a 30foot high totem pole in his front garden. When I asked why, he said it was to keep the virus away. I told him there isn’t any round here. EXACTLY he said.
You couldn’t make it up, although I just did.

LINCOLN CITY 2-0 LIVERPOOL They pampered bunch of TWA*S just flew from Liverpool to, RAF Waddington near Lincoln.

In 1984/1985 if you wore a face mask you were arrested on the instructions of a TORY government, now its against the law in most scenarios not to wear a mask brought in by a TORY government.

Was there a pandemic in 1984/85?

Was there a pandemic in 1968/1969? Hong Kong flu. 80,000 deaths, but no one, including me, remembers anything about it no lockdown, no face coverings, nothing. And I was in Hong Kong in 1969. And I didn’t socially distance from the locals, at all. Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end...

Enough money on the pitch tonight to buy the city of Lincoln, never mind Lincoln City.

The scoreline doesn’t do justice to the Imps performance.

Still my team, my club, my passion.

Concentrate on the league now. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Happy memories of beating Burnley, Brighton and Hove, etc, need I go on?
