Well at least some reasonably favourable publicity, but where to start with it all...
But the photo they used was obviously taken during the day, if not evident by the daylight, then at least by the queue of traffic:

And I'd actually taken a photo of that A-board as well - nothing much in the grand scheme of things, but typical of some of the nonsense of it all
And took photo below about an hour ago, showing the temporary rank. Public just parking there as normal, as far as I can make out, which is maybe one reason I've seen maybe a maximum of three taxis on that rank.
And the taxi driver below just reversed back into the corner, because he knows that if he goes up to the front of the rank proper (beyond the private cars parked) then people won't see him or won't walk up anyway, and will take the back car.
So if he sits right on the corner, those problems disappear. But if another cab comes along, what do they do...take the space in front of him, in which case risking a kick off. Or go to where the front of the rank proper is, and maybe sit there all night without a single fare

But that's why I'm avoiding the temporary rank, and there's now cars ranking here, there and everywhere
