March 2023 if I can be arsed to work that long...or if the Trade survives that long.

That said I'd still like keep working at a reduced level after that.

medicals 3 yearly here mind you Sussex is the youngest member on here so maybe they don't need 3 yearly down there till they reach our sort of age

Most medicals are done similar to HGV regs.

First one on initial application, then one at 45, then each five years until 65, then annually.

I thought that was the norm throughout the UK.

Gov Taxi & PH Best Practise Guidance 2010.

68. It is common for licensing authorities to apply the “Group 2” medical standards –
applied by DVLA to the licensing of lorry and bus drivers – to taxi and PHV drivers. This
seems best practice.

Every 3 years here from starting with your application. My son was 23 when he got his first badge and has been required to have the Council medical (group 2 but not really group 2) every 3 years.

I had my first medical to get licensed then didn’t need another one for 23 years.

over 60 we were every year for medicals, went last time, said to her "see you in a year" she said "why?...."

council had changed back to 3 years
