I'm booked in to hospital tomorrow for major spinal surgery, to say I'm shitting myself is an understatement. I'm having the operation at Ipswich Hospital. I've had several spinal operations before but, this is the first one I've had that they are going through the front due to the damage at the back. Can't have visitors due to CONVID-19 so I'm going to be on my own until discharge day.

Stay safe lads.

Good luck with that [-o<

Have had a disc problem for almost 40 years, and it's the kind of thing I've been dreading for years.

Not that I'm in great pain, or anything, and it's really just a shrunken calf muscle and poor circulation in my foot that are the problems. Last time I spoke to doc he said surgery possible, but because I could still walk on my toes or heels then it's not a particular problem. But obviously you worry how things like that will progress in old age.

But even if I did require surgery, suspect it would be relatively straigtforward compared to yours, by the sounds of it.

So best of luck again [-o<

Hope it goes well, Nidge. Don't be a martyr to the pain; there's no extra points to be earned. If you need pain relief, shout!

I'm back on my feet (only just,) painful isn't the word, why the hell they wanted to go in the front way is beyond me. A big up to the staff and surgeons at Ipswich Hospital who looked after me like a king.
