This is about a taxi driver, but not really trade-related. Could have happened to any driver.

Really need to view the video to assess the situation, and it can be viewed on the Daily Mail's website.

Naturally, some defending the taxi driver, while others critical.

I'm in two minds. Maybe he should have reversed back at an earlier stage. But if the guy standing beside the house was being aggressive from the kick off then I'm not surprised the driver stood his ground, but it's not clear what the throat-grabber was saying when he was standing at the door.

However, the taxi driver sounds a bit shouty and sweary himself - never a good look.

Maybe that's why police have no record of a complaint. Maybe he thought the better of it.

Of course, absolutely no excuse for grabbing him by the throat.

100% the cab drivers fault, and I'm surprised he still has a license if that's his normal behaviour.

He should have sussed the situation before he got near, and even if he didn't all he had to do was back down a yard or two.

Not an onerous task FFS.

Yes the fella shouldn't have grabbed his throat, but the cab driver only has himself to blame.

the bloke was way too aggressive towards the driver but it wouldn't have hurt him to reverse back earlier which he did just before the man grabbed his throat

the driver was way too shouty inflaming the situation but in my opinion the bloke should be cautioned for grabbing his throat

He should have been prosecuted, but I doubt the driver made a complaint.
