Just listened to the Supreme Court summary and it’s a resounding victory for the trade, especially to those who have fought this fight for nearly 5 years.

Well done to them. =D>

Depends what you mean by *the trade*.

If it has wider ramifications then I doubt some in *the trade* will view it as a 'resounding victory' 8-[

Does that mean UBER would own all their Vehicles and Licences or was that always the case?

An honest days pay and conditions is not to much to ask for an honest days work regardless of what their scammy Gig Masters might think...it's time such rogues were brought into line both for their workers and for the fairness of competition for all Taxi and PH business's...and for all other types of business's as well for that matter.

I'm inclinded to agree. But I'll leave it to you to go and tell the HC and PH barons and gigmasters in Glasgow

I think drivers having a higher degree of protection is always a good thing.

Seen too many drivers suffer financially when they are suffering medically.

It means in my view that Uber will give up all their ops licenses in time, and just be a booking platform.

That’s the only way they will ever make money.

"Following a lengthy legal fight, the UK's highest court ruled against the taxi app firm and concluded drivers should be classed as workers, not independent third-party contractors, which means they are entitled to basic employment protections, including minimum wage and holiday pay."
