 Post subject: E7 intercom

Has anybody had crackling through the front speakers when the intercom is on? The intercom still works but theirs a crackling which get a a bit annoying at times. Anybody know what causes that and how to fix.

Don't see this as an E7 thing, could be the same on any intercom.

I would think it would be worth looking at any solder joints, especially on the speaker and microphones. Touch with a hot solder iron can cure this.

Also, if a jack plug goes into the amplifier, cleaning the jack plug (use electrical contact cleaner maybe) can help.

Crackling is often a slightly bad contact somewhere in the system, problem is, finding where.
