We landed at Stanstead on Thursday it was like a ghost town, row upon row of planes parked up near the green stay multi-story car park, Ryanair, Lauda Air and Whizz Air all in a row with nowhere to go.

A mate of mine asked me if I wanted to cover one of his Stanstead jobs.

I told him I would sooner eat poo.

Forever to get there, forever to get back. Two tolls at Dartford and a kings ransom to pick up.

Yes the punters will pay, cos no one else is going to.

But these are the punters who don't research WTF Stanstead is on the map, and cry at the price.

They save £30 each on a flight and it cost them £320 round trip to get there.

did Southend Airport for the first time ever today

£4.00 for 10 mins short stay car park which is not well signposted as you approach everywhere else is red route but the place looked as busy as London city mid pandemic !

I went to Leeds today. I dread the thought of what traffic would be like if everyone stopped working from home and returned to the office. Traffic on A1 M62 was dreadful.

Have done both heathrow pick up and gatwick this week looks like they are both the same system i.e. pay over the phone/internet

Incidentally half an hour in T3 short stay now £5.10 which is actually cheaper than EMA, Southend, Stansted, Birmingham in fact probably one of the cheapest in the UK but compared to shopping car parks mega expensive

No the other drivers won't get up at stupid o'clock in the morning to do them although the Gatwick was for the 8 seater so only 1 other driver possibly available and he won't take early morning airports
