Hackney surging

Dear Customers,
After carefully analysing the increased demand for taxis, we have decided to make these changes.
Given the economic condition & driver’s shortage in every Taxi Company in the UK, it was a very critical decision and we want you to understand how our pricing works and why we have taken this decision.
HOW OUR DYNAMIC SURGE PRICING MODEL WORKS?
When a customer books a ride, he/she receives an estimated fare for the trip. Due to dynamic surge pricing, you will see a different cost than the fare of the same trip you took some days ago. It happens because prices are being calculated by considering a number of different variables including rush hour, customer's rating, route, distance, traffic, and high demand. It's an automated system and prices fluctuate according to demand.
WHY IS DYNAMIC SURGE PRICING USED?
It is used to encourage drivers to get on the road, fill the demand and cover the rides. In dynamic surge pricing, as more rides are taken and demand is becoming more manageable the fare reverts back to normal.
Dynamic surge pricing allows us to make sure that the supply of drivers is enough to complete the demand for the rides.
Our priority will always be to help get as many customers to their destinations as quickly as possible.
The nationwide shortage of taxi drivers has been widely reported in the press and a simple Google search allows customers to independently verify the above.
The cost of transport affects us all, price rises are never popular.
We has had the same minimum fare for many years.
We have not simply decided to put fares up because it suits us.
The majority of fares are normal most of the time.
Your business is important to us but we must strike a fair balance between riders and our drivers; both of who are our customers.
Thank you for using us, we are committed to serving our community with a quality service and appreciate your business and continued support.
