Blackburn boy, 17, attacked taxi driver and robbed his carhttps://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/n ... obbed-car/A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has appeared before Blackburn magistrates and admitted robbing a taxi driver of his car.The court heard the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and two other youths attacked the driver, punching him repeatedly and pulling his hair before ordering him out of the vehicle.
When police stopped the car, the defendant was driving and he deliberately reversed into a police vehicle. He then punched an officer in the face.
The youth, from Blackburn, pleaded guilty to robbery, assault of an emergency worker, dangerous driving and driving without insurance. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
