And not really sure if it's relevant to a plated vehicle subject to inspection whether it's actually working or not, but I suppose if there's POB then it makes for a better headline and stick for councillors to beat the driver with

As for the 20-years-ago thing, I assumed he was referring to the, er, home visits in that regard, as opposed to pulling cars, er, pulling off the rank

No Stuart they haven't done a snap inspection involving DVSA, council and police for over 20 years

I don't want to go down a Rabbit hole here.

I put "I don't know".

Maybe a Driver could say "I wasn't going to take a fare, just on the Rank as a convenient place to stop".

Who knows, who cares, I just postulated a scenario.

It hasn't happened for about 20 years.
