with all due respect regarding the little girls, but i dont quite think they make ``credible`` witnesses, firstly due to their age, and secondly because mothers can easily brainwash their children into acting like robots if the circumstances require such deeds, ask fathers for justice !!!!! :lol:

Do they still have the policeman at Glasgow airport that refuses to let you stop, been through on hires a couple of times and one in particular is extremely rude and nasty, if you come in empty for a pick-up(prebooked) this guy will not even let your wheels stop moving before he is screaming at you to move on and reaching for his book for emphasis :sad: if you know your flight has landed and have given the customer enough time to clear customs/collect baggage, you find yourself driving in circles till you spot your hire! and then pray Mr Angry is busy giving some other cabbie pelters so you can stop for a minute to load up.

On the other hand, done a job to Prestwick Airport in December and when the flight was late landing the policeman told me to park up in the carpark (it was late evening and not busy) and go get myself a coffee, pick up my customer and he had a word with someone who lifted the carpark barrier for me on leaving free of any charge - couldnot have been nicer! All i asked was "flights late, anywhere i can parkup for a while?"
Talk about night and day in attitude :?:

Yeh some right nasty police men and women theres no doubt about that, in glasgow especially, there all in the city centre at weekends trying to hassle the private hire drivers and drive around growling at folk. I had one [edited by admin] trying to give me a 30 pound fine for dropping off a hire, unbeleivable, needless to say i contested the fine and was let off, but i doubt the scummy lil [edited by admin] got ticked off. If only the police over here joined for the real genuine reasons and not to fulfill some ego or power trip,,only if eusasmiles.zip eusasmiles.zip

If any of you intend to visit Scotland & arrive at Glasgow Airport this might be of use to you :lol:

Taxi and private hire complaints

How to complain?

If you have a complaint about a Renfrewshire Council licensed taxi or private hire driver, please write to us at the address below or send an email to our taxi enforcement officer at licensing.cs@renfrewshire.gov.uk.

It would be most helpful if you could include the following details in your complaint:

date and time of incident;
location;
short description of driver;
make and model of car (if known);
vehicle registration number (if known);
badge number (if known); and
plate number (if known)

We will then investigate your complaint and try to resolve it for you. Please do not telephone our office to make a complaint as we can only follow up complaints received in writing or by email.

Once we receive your written complaint we will:
acknowledge it within 5 working days;
interview the driver concerned;
obtain statements (as appropriate);
take appropriate action;
let you know the action taken; and
tell you what further action you can take if you are unhappy with the outcome
