well train tickets bought so on monday am heading off to Gatwick to fly out to malta for 7 nights so won't be posting on here for about 8 days. Hopefully the weather will be a lot less rainy with plenty of history and culture to see and experience.
Have a fab time, should be considerably warmer than here.
temperatures averaged around 17 C so pleasantly warm for exploring and only a few rain showers mostly at night so perfect for exploring and sightseeing. buses cost 2.50 euros whether you go a few stops or 10 miles ! Lots of spectacular fortified towns and cities with great views from the battlements reasonably priced food in the restaurants beer 4 euros a pint.
and for Stuart some taxi facts and observations:
There are 250 hackneys on malta all white saloon and have number plates starting with the word taxi. PH is dominated by Bolt ,ecabs and Uber with bolt probably having around 70+ percent share based on counting the number of bolt vehicles as opposed to e cabs and uber driving past my balcony over a half hour period. You hardly ever saw an uber but when walking around Valletta would always see Bolt cars driving around. E cabs were based in St Julien and were common around there but only saw 2 ubers all holiday.
