I think you will find the reason why firms charge such a high rate is becuase there are utter fools prepared to pay it.

But it's further evidence (not that anyone who has anything in the way of knowledge of the trade) of the inflated rentals caused by restricted numbers, despite the flaccid attempts by those who purport to represent drivers to claim otherwise
I was assuming that this thread was about PH rental, so how would the non restriction of numbers affect their costs? More competition=lower rentals=lower fares=lower wages, perhaps?
