Taxi driver assaulted during incident in Piccadilly

A taxi driver has been assaulted during a violent incident in York.

North Yorkshire Police said it happened at 2.20am on July 28, and involved four men in a taxi in Piccadilly.

"The taxi driver was assaulted and damage caused to the inside of the vehicle," a force spokesperson added.

Police are now appealing for information about two men pictured on CCTV, saying they may have important information that could assist their investigation.
