According to Blackpool Councils public register, Uber now have a operators licence here.

I am not sure their activities before them gaining a local license were illegitimate, despite my view of them.

Having a local license is a step forward as they can now use locally licensed drivers.

I suspect the local operators are delighted about that. :-k
