This isn't very exciting, but we're not told how many cars were stopped, so four could be quite a high hit rate :-o

But it's one of those based on a brief social media post, and it's rehashed to such an extent that basically the article simply repeats itself (which I've also just done, more or less, with a couple of words there  )

Four taxi licences suspended in Shipley police operation

https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/ ... operation/

FOUR taxi licences were suspended following a police operation in the Bradford district.

West Yorkshire Police officers were in Shipley on Friday afternoon conducting a joint operation alongside Bradford Council's taxi licensing team.

Of the several taxis stopped, four licences were suspended.

The drivers will now have to provide proof any issues raised have been rectified before regaining their licences.

Other drivers were given general advice regarding their vehicle maintenance.

A post on the West Yorkshire Police - Shipley read: "Yesterday afternoon, officers from Shipley NPT conducted a joint operation alongside Bradford Council Taxi Licensing.

"A number of taxis were stopped and examined by the licensing team.

"Out of the taxis stopped, four had their taxi licences suspended until they could provide proof any issues raised had been rectified.

"General advice was given to a number of taxis drivers in regard to vehicle maintenance before starting their day."

Took me a while to find the original - but obviously whoever wrote the above forgot to say precisely where the post was made

But in fact that's not the reason I couldn't find the original easily - normally use Google and look at the Twitter and Facebook sources, but it's very messy as regards West Yorkshire Police and their various divisions and social media accounts, or whatever, and Google not too helpful :-s

Anyway, for what it's worth, this should be the original source here:
