Can't be bothered going through all the possible permuations regarding this on the York news outlets' websites, but their output is based on this brief Facebook post from North Yorkshire Police.
So although one of the local outlets headlines it as being about a 'taxi', the Facebook post doens't actually say that, but since it involved an argument, and it happened at or near a taxi rank, then I suppose it's a fair enough assumption that it was a taxi and driver involved, but this doesn't specifically say that:
(That said, it does say it happened 'in' the taxi rank, so it could potentially be an illegal parking ruck, and thus a taxi driver attacking a 'civilian' car
