Just had a letter telling me I have to have a smart water meter  .

There is NO option to opt out it's compulsory

Aparently from now on my water will be metered on an hourly basis because in our area there is considerable "stress"

In other words they don't want to spend money upgrading the supply to cope with all the extra houses built in the last 30 years with another 4000 to come.

Picking folks up at the airport, and while the parking charge clock is ticking, they want to do a week's shopping in M&S.

I used to offer to stop somewhere on the way back but that only worked 1 in 3 times as usually they were hungry or thirsty

another 4000 acres of prime farmland in lincolnshire going for one of Millibands solar projects

Why do we have to put them on fields instead of buildings one day food imports will be difficult to obtain and we'll regret losing the 10's of thousands of Lincolnshire fields getting taken out of production

Lady gets in the car moaning that she asked for a low car.

I tell her I’m a saloon low car and if she struggles with that then next time she books a fare she requests a sledge.

Price of cigarettes.

I’m lucky enough to have never smoked anything, other than maybe the old kipper.

But I was asked by a relative who does to bring her 200 back from my hols.

The price for a pack of 20 Marlboro Gold at Asda is £18.35 for 20, therefore £183.50 for 200.

I paid €45 for 200, £39.

Madness. [-(

Mobility scooters

So approaching the main crossroads just as I was coming up to the line of traffic setting off on a green light a mobility scooter on the footpath swerved off the path into the road and forced me down to 5MPH. All the cars in front got through on green then the lights changed. he then swerved back onto the pavement and used the pedestrian crossing light to go across the junction.

ps he didn't have a number plate so wasn't road legal

Sheep CANNOT be farmed even at breakeven the fleeces sell for 10% of the cost to shear them and the animal feed to feed them in winter which used to be produced on the land that was lost to the solar panels has to be imported from the French who know how to fleece uk farmers (pun intended)

People who can't comprehend the statement 'I will pick you up at the exact place I dropped you off'.

What is so bloody confusing about that? :-k
