Also a reliable source reckons the council are less than happy with the way these renegade sheriffs have handled these cases and are contemplating going to a higher court.

Ace if they do

These boys will need deep pockets for that gig

I don't doubt that the council is less than happy about the outcome, but if the quote is correct then it seems a bit rich of the renegade council to imply that its the judiciary in the wrong, and clearly the expectation is that the courts should toe the establishment line irrespective of the legal position.

And clearly the author of the post thinks it's more about financial muscle rather than the merits of the case, which again underlines the fact that's it's not about justice and fairness, but instead all about perpetuating the vested interest group at any cost and using any tactic.

Trust and loyalty.something you obviously no nothing about.

its nice to see that you consider youreself just a driver
and you see owners as somehow elevated above the ranks of mere driver
tell me whats the differance between a guy who owns and a guy who doesnt ?

A proffesional driver, as the council phrase it.
It's personalities' that elevate people I look upon every taxi driver as the same

contrary to poular belief i dont care who you are ross, it is nice to see guys coming out so to speak, but if i were you and had such a lowly opinion of myself(my god man youll be saying "massa is good to ross he only wap me once a week" next) id want to keep my anonimity.

If you don't care who I am ,why the questions on whether I own a plate etc..
Your not me and if I where black your arse would be in trouble.
Racist remarks have no place in society.

you can stop sucking now.

Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

no rab its no just you, sadly
its the a set up mate, youre a dripping roast to the powers that be.
away and put yir money doon for a plate, you may wait a while but you will get one.

Rab c doesn't give the full story, he probably wants the taxi at his door,or somewhere just around the corner. Then he probably wants to work Monday to Friday maybe 5am to 5pm. The taxi has to be automatic and the rental priced at his terms. Does he want a plate ? does he feck.
You know the story.

Plenty of operators looking for drivers in central.

Mr Thomson

you still haven't answered the question I asked earlier, so here it is again.

Mr Thomson, correct me if I am wrong, but does the Salteri case not go against your ideology.
The profiteering from a free plate.
A non taxi driver being issued with a free plate.
Come on Mr Thomson, you can't have it both ways.

Ross

ps P222 was asking for you.

i thought it would have been you investing in thier house or quality time with thier family, or a new car.
i can hear them now "thier goes ross hes been driving for us for years, should we tell him he is sacked as ive sold the plate, na dinae bother hell be ok, well just sell him to the next owner"
good boy ross, thats quite a list of owners ross.
why so many if youre so happy with them

quite ross quite.errr but you werent talking about drivers you said
I am a SELF EMPLOYED taxi boy Who has worked with some of the best operators in the trade. Operators who never forgot that they where just drivers at one time. Maybe I'am just lucky.
lucky indeed! to live in a reality such as youres must be bliss, even although it is an illusion.
yir welcome to it, me i prefer the hard truth, than the bouncy fluffy world you live in, loyalty and respect hah, i spit on it and raise you with my honor any day
clearly you think that being a driver is lower than being an operator.
clearly you are happy living in servitude.
i dont have a problem with that, in fact i may have need of youre services when i get my plate, i do like loyalty in my employees.

well ross thanks for that, i had youre cv checked and you come with excellent references, but as i said thiers a job waiting for you here in niddrie. the question on wether you owned a plate, was to ascertain what youre angle was, so to speak.
but now i know that you are just thick you can carry on with youre sucking up to the ringmasters, take youre pick, its seems they have all had a piece of you,and it has had an effect on the way you act ross, subservient to the end.
youre on the wrong side.

ps the jobs youres but you will be known from then on as friday
oh and youre right about one thing ross.
you are viewed as an investment by a prospective/current plate owner as the investment dont work without you.

have you asked him ?

whats wrong with wanting to work monday to friday?

5 till 5

thats 60 hours per week

if thiers that many people loking for drivers where do they advertise ross.
last time i was in the offices(recently) not one drive on the boards.
now you are gonna tell me its word o' mouth.
been doing this a long time to ross, the boards used to be full of jobs, and with all those people paying thier money (£500 i believe) passing the test
and presumably tacking up driving jobs and thier being a limit on plates. so dont say thier are plenty, you just sound stupid

does he want a plate ?

probably?
ill ask him, shall i

Never been sacked, its always been my choice to move on. Ask them and they will tell you.
Mock all you want. you only make a fool of yourself.

Ringmaster ! Do you tell the opertator of the vehicle you drive this to his face. My god man, are you so shallow, who's vehicle have you been working over the past how many years so you can feed cloth and shelter your family.
And sorry to say, I'd rather change jobs than work with anyone with such contempt for his fellow driver.

rather than try and explain away my comments in response to youres why dont you simply explain youre comment

yes but why move on you said they were the best of operators.
if they are that good why move.
ross! stand back and read what you have written
sacked, that implies you are employed or at least see youreself as an employee, youre not you have none of the benefits of employment, and all of the pitfalls of selfemployment. the worst of both worlds, rather than the best.

ah ross, this is what i was hoping you would say, in fact it was inevitable.
you make it sound as if you and i should be gratefull that owners have given us the opertunity to work, like they are doing us a favour.
not so restricted plates
they have one, we dont
its beneficial for both
it just a business transaction
it you that makes it personell

you are not my fellow driver ross, you are the weak, me and you have absolutely nothing in common.
you are a taxi driver
i only drive one for a living
i dont have aproblem with owners ross.
i have a problem with drives like you.
if it wasnt for youre subserviant attitude, then the argument and current situation that we have just now would not exsist.

perhaps i am being to harsh on you ross

maybe, you are just one of those guys who find it hard to strike out on thier own.
maybe the fight has been taken out of you by society.
perhasp it make's it easier for you to digest if you can somehow justify the current system, and the fact that although, we work in a hugely one sided industry, it makes you feel better as long as thier is loyalty and trust between you and youre owner.

i wish you well and hope you have a long and usefull life with youre new owners.

I think every cabbie in edinburgh is ashamed to be tainted by scum like Ali T being associated with the taxi trade.
His posts above show his true colours.
Are JD and the operators of this site pleased to be associated with the likes of him?

Are they pleased that they have helped him taint the trade even more?
I for one am totally disgusted. He has really sunk to new depths this time.

a repeating pattern

you lot spout crap

someone asks you to qualify it

you cant! you lose the debate/argument

and one of the faithfull comes in crying foul, and tries to change the subject.

you lot are getting boring.

its not about me rcf its about greed, apathy, subservitude, ignorance, and fear.
all the ingredients that go to make up the edinburgh trade.
