When will the PCO stop giving phv permit's to driver's who can't speak english?.

I have been in the PCO whilst children translate for thier father's, how can a non english speaker do the job properly if they can't read/write/understand english.

Racist comment? you decide.

i agree but i sense you are a racist anyway because you highlighted it.

anyone who highlights anything foreign is a closet racist...but what can you do? you wont change or admit to it.

To PHD, people like you make me sick! Because I express an opinion on an ethnic group you say i'm a racist!.

If speaking the truth about what I see everyday make's me a racist, then I will admit to being one.

THe meaning of racist, and I quote the cambridge dictionary;
"someone who believes that other races are not as good as thier own and therefore treats them unfairly"

I speak as I find, but let me tell you something, last week, 3 blokes started beating up one of my drivers outside my office and I stepped in to help him and recieved a black eye in the process. The driver is asian and a muslim, would a racist have stepped in?

Do you think people who can't speak english should be taxi driver's?.
Would you say the same if a doctor was treating a loved one and he could not understand what your loved one was saying and treated them incorrectly which resulted in thier death?

BY the way, when I left the army I went back to Kosovo and joined the KLA and fought against the christian serbs who were killing the muslim's.

Not until the law says they must.

Even the PCO have to adhere to the law of the land every now and again.

as a "protected species" I have to agree, if you cant speak a decent amount of English then you should not be driving a cab, sometimes customers like to engage in conversation or ask about the weather, I get embrassed when customers tell me they had such and such driver from such and such compeny and he could not speak a word of English.

As for GBC, i dont think hes a racist, just tells it how it is.
