Resorting to insults? wow =D>

Ahh so the bank will willingly lend money to businesses with negative growth?

Obviously they will, because plate prices seem to have doubled since you sold your free one.

Now if you ask me, your synopsis is a wild consiracy theory, with the economic argument being there to add alleged weight to the argument.

The cartel betweet the council, the comapnies and the plateholders holds very little water at all, and is based on wild speculation with zero proof.

If the trade is that bad why are people still buying?

No just speaking to a Mug who justifies 40K plate values by Mugs who are prepared to pay 40K. You did use the word "mug" yes.

Right, so we are all earning more money, the ph haven't doubled in 3 years and plates are worth 40k because Edinburgh is full of Mugs with sound business plans.

Mugs again I take it. Nothing to do with restricting access to licence plates with a public licence value of £700. No shortage of drives either that's why rental are so low a snip at £300 we a making pots.

Mr Thomson, for someone who claims to "not give a sh*t about the taxi trade", why do you continually go on about whats right and whats wrong in the running of the trade?
For someone who doesn't give a sh*t, you seem to have a lot to say.

The silly thing is, I havent put my house up for a plate, and I wouldnt, because that would be silly.

I have never bought or sold a plate, because in my opinion thats a little like selling a council house that still belongs to the council.

As I stated in another thread since the 1985 transport act the plate scenario has always been a gamble (jeez I agree with JD?)

I have offered my view on deregulation, and it doesnt work here.
