 Post subject: Microsoft Taxi software

I heard a rumour that Microsoft are to release a despatch system for the Trade, that may use thier map point software. Any body got any information?

We also use Map-point but Map-point itself is a million miles away from being a taxi dispatching program. It could be useful for route planning for longer distance work and getting quotations but Auto route will do all that for very much less dosh. The best way to make a taxi despatching program is to design it to do what the customer needs rather than take some mapping software and try to bend it to fit.
