After the consultation, and calls for more visible touting, sorry I mean signage, the victory is theirs.

And why did they have to remove the roundels which had the words 'taxi - private hire' within them?

Why were the words 'licensed vehicle' removed?

Any tout feeling left out can always buy there own, because lets face it, signs would be infalable when it comes down to womens safety.

Have I missed something here, cos surely that's just a bit of house-keeping.

The real signage battle will be over what can be put on the doors and the roof. :roll:

I suppose they could, but they would stand out a bit.

My point was for those bods in the Minicab trade who claim signage will reduce the touting by making 'real' minicabs stand out, when in fact the touts will just use the signs to increase their income, and the bogus ones will buy this sort of gear from e-bay to copy them.

yep, reading your post i'd say it's definate, and this new one confirms it, never mind at least one of us IS scoring points, you though, will be used to being a loser, so no harm done. ;)

I wonder why many London minicab drivers illegally remove the green roundel ?

Is it cos they don't want the neighbours knowing what they do ? Or working at weekends and not declaring the income ? Probably both.

no insurance no brains dont know were iam going and cant drive no insurance
lets face it you get a miniscab driver we all know they are to bob ban dont licence says oillie happy to be legit my arse my pocket is getting fater
