HEADLINE: Czech pianist is city taxi driver
Classical music fans will be able to enjoy a concert by top Czech pianist Matej Lehocky at Plymouth's Central Methodist Hall tonight.
Talented Mr Lehocky studied at the famous Prague Conservatory of Music but has been working in Plymouth for 18 months as a taxi driver in a bid to earn money to enable him to continue his studies.
His aim is to attend Prague's renowned Academy of Performing Arts with the eventual dream of becoming a leading international performer.
Mr Lehocky will perform works by Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin, and his own classical compositions, from 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £4 from the Discovery Shop or Church Office.
