I wouldnt consider it justce for ANY driver to lose his livlihood over £1.50 would anyone not agree? Made no allegations just asked a question about the BNP so fervently supported by GBC.

£1.50 for the job he was caught out on.

Drivers who "warm" their meters don't do it now and again .............. they do it most, if not all, of the time.

Or are you suggesting Wolfie, that drivers should not lose their livlihoods for overcharging.

This might not be a big deal to the newly licensed, previously right robbing barsteward minicab trade ................. but it is a big deal to the professional PH and HC driver outside London.

GA, I agree with you 100%. If he is starting his meter early then he should lose his licence. Maybe he has done it before?, I can't see him losing his badge for 1 offence.

The person involved was caught overcharging.

To decide whether it is fair or not depends on that particular drivers history.

If he had been caught before, and warned, I don't think it is unfair for the council to remove his licence.

If however it was his first "offence" then a warning should have been enough.

The amount is not important.

Now put your toys back in your cot you naughty boy.
