I don't know about anyone else but when this tragic incident first surfaced I was of the opinion that it was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time but on reading the first day trial report it would appear the attack was premeditated on this particular vehicle.

I know this is a little off-track, but could you find out how many private hire and Taxi drivers' have been murdered in the last 10 years, this is something I feel strongly about and would appreciate the correct information if possible,Trevor

its a job for immigrants and usually pakistani immigrants, why they get killed for trying to make a buck from such a hard job is beyond me.

We have a code in Sefton if a taxi-driver or private hire driver is in trouble we stop, well most of us to do, you never know , it might be you. :wink:

It's often the case that they pick up scum who have a different view of ethnic drivers than we do. :sad:

As for the list of licensed drivers killed whilst working, I believe Mr Roland has a list, and it's in the region of 25/30 in the last 10 years. :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:
