JD, do you own a London style taxi? We're pretty sure that this is a taxi forum, in which we are asking for the assistance of taxi drivers about their vehicles. We only need to know about LTI TX series vehicles. We have already been in contact with the LTI factory as it is on our doorstep, and questionnaires and surveys have already been issued. If you don't want to offer your assistance then kindly don't waste our time.

Regards

this was meant to be at the bottom of the last post.

If you lot could get your act together, and post a LINK to your web site you may get what your looking for.
You are students after all and are supposed to be the bright sparks of the future, so if by any chance one of you has a blockage between the ears could you use him to do this.

You hit the nail on the head when you said this is a Taxi forum and as such when you post in this or any other forum you better be prepared for the worst. Its patently obvious to all on here that your post is a troll and you fool no one. That is precisely why you can't produce bone fide details of youself, or your project?

As for me wasting your time? I will remind you that it was you who came here asking subscribers of TDO to assist you, not the other way around?

I just wonder why out of all the Taxi websites on the Internet that you chose this particular site?

For your research I suggest you borrow a vehicle from Mathew Cheyne and enjoy the LTI experience for yourself, there's nothing like practical hands on experience.

Regards

JD

Well thanks for your help everyone, I guess that you've made it perfectly clear to anyone else who reads this site just how helpful taxi drivers are...though I suppose we already knew the answer to that.

Are you suggesting bigsuv is a fearsome member of a mythical anthropomorph race from Scandinavia?

or the more likely;

An Internet "troll" is a person who delights in sowing discord on the Internet. He (and it is usually he) tries to start arguments and upset people.

Trolls see Internet communications services as convenient venues for their bizarre game. For some reason, they don't "get" that they are hurting real people. To them, other Internet users are not quite human but are a kind of digital abstraction. As a result, they feel no sorrow whatsoever for the pain they inflict. Indeed, the greater the suffering they cause, the greater their 'achievement' (as they see it). At the moment, the relative anonymity of the net allows trolls to flourish.

Trolls are utterly impervious to criticism (constructive or otherwise). You cannot negotiate with them; you cannot cause them to feel shame or compassion; you cannot reason with them. They cannot be made to feel remorse. For some reason, trolls do not feel they are bound by the rules of courtesy or social responsibility.

Perhaps this sounds inconceivable. You may think, "Surely there is something I can write that will change them." But a true troll can not be changed by mere words.

Right people, lets get one thing clear.

I have no idea what you have against us, but we don't deserve to be spoken to like scum, what gives you the right to speak to us like that? I don't know what a "troll" is, but thanks for the description captain cab. This is the first time i've ever written on a forum, and all our group wanted was to know what people felt about using a taxi. But we didn't want to be biased in our research and only approach it from a user's perspective so, under instructions from our tutor at university we posted a discussion on this forum.

There is no website i'm afraid, we don't have time to create a website for every module project we do.

So once again, thanks for all your help...

I think you'll find most of us drive taxis as opposed to 'using' them.

The TX1 was about right, the TX2 had a naff engine, we await to see what the TX4 will turn out like.

In general the vehicles are over priced, I would additionally argue that due to this they cannot compete in a marketplace that allows cheaper WAV's to be licensed, as invariably taxi proprietors go for the cheaper option.

Safety wise I don't think anyone can argue that they offer good protection for the driver. Many of the reports on here involving 'taxi' drivers being attacked are invariably saloon vehicles.

The residual value of the vehicle is also good, but due to the TX2 not quite so good now.
