A driver at York station has had his drivers permit revoked by station taxi's who are the managing company for GNER,he has a medical certificate to say he has problems and needs to go when he needs to go, I am not defending him peeing at 3pm on a saturday afternoon but he did try to conceal himself but was spotted by an off duty train driver , but he has asked if he can use the station rank until the result of his appeal is heard as is normal procedure, they have said no what is the legal position on this, the rank is on private property.

If the rank is in the station then that's classed as private land.

Yes we all need to pee, but he should have taken a bottle and filled it up in the motor.

TBH if he has that problem then one has to wonder how he has kept his license.

What happens when he needs a pee in a traffic jam, and he has kids in the car?

At least one of the scumbags, who is not a taxi driver, who HAD a big say in Stn Taxis York, and virtually ran it, and was responsible for banning certain drivers from York station rank, has packed his bags and gone, took as much paperwork as he could, he was seen loading it up

Most taxi drivers are most grateful for one driver taking it up with DHSS and blowing it in, they, the DHSS staked out York Stn Taxis and caught the culprit redhanded drawing wages whilst on unemployed/disabilities benifits, along with his Rolls Royce, Jag, Villa in Spain, and 2 houses, thats the trouble with some people, marrying the rich, then trying to keep up with it all

I hope he has to pay it all back, plus interest, then again 6 years ago I spoke to the man himself, and was told by him he is living it up as he only had 6 months to live, as he lit up another fag, as told by a doctor, that was 6 years ago, the pratt is still living it up, thats the man who I told to stick the railway taxi rank contract up where the sun don't shine, in reply he said your banned for life for getting a stn permit from those remarks

The new laws also state that those that took him on also are as guilty as him, so once again Stn taxis York, your shareholders, yet again, put your hands in your pockets to pay yet another fine

Time this firm was investigated, further

A new item has appeared on the agender, re permit renewal, [thought GNER was bust]
all drivers who want Stn rank permits have to supply photo copy of Hackney carriage licence, yes folks, that contains your name and adddress, to the railway company, data protection and all that, what are the rail company going to do with the data base, could it be sold on??

I personally don't think all this is down to the train company, more likely it's down to the cab firm giving it large.

As for the mush who was claiming, well if he doen't pay it all back he will go to jail and lose his house. Might make for a great story in the local press.

The rumour mill grinds out that he is still employed but working from home, on the address basis, one driver was banned by the Council for serious alleged offences but when Station Taxi's wanted to write to him they had no idea where he lived, they are the biggest joke in the town, offering a 24 hour service and the office closes at midnight, if you telephone after that time anybody answers the phone, drunks, down and outs, drivers who just come in for a coffee out of the machine anybody.

Yes I know, I've got guts ache laughing at that, you other folk might not believe it, but the phone is put outside the office next to the tea machine where all odds / sods and weirdo's walk in to get a drink with an odd driver or two just might appear,

makes me laugh when they get banned from the Stn rank for discipline, the drivers are quite happy then, they switch off their data heads and listen in over voice when the Op starts screaming for cars for credit works, I heard the other night they only had 5 cars available, maybe I can relate to the Sid James film, carry on cabbing
