So there is nothing to it, any fool can be a cabbie, what low self esteem.
There are taxidrivers and people who drive taxis. You don't know the difference and that is why you are you bitter, envious and sad, you just don't get it.

Yes, and in my experience the owners will take on the people who drive taxis as well as the taxi drivers - it's very rare to find someone with a badge who can't get a drive.

And the presence of 'people who drive taxis' is why I advocate quality control, unlike many owners who prefer badges to be granted to anyone as long as it gets their taxi on the road, proper "taxi driver" or not.

Don't come tne nonsene about being worried about this kind of thing, because clearly your paramount concern is your preferential treatment. :D

"Bitter, envious and sad and just don't get it". Moi?

And, T., you may neatly sidestep the points I make, but perhaps you can outline why someone who is granted a badge isn't fit to run a vehicle, real "taxi driver" or merely someone who drives taxis?

How can someone who doesn't exist own anything or lay claim to anything.

How would you defend your statements .................... how could you prove that you had written them.

FFS this isn't rocket science ........................ this is a public access forum where no subscription is required and anonymity is the norm ........................ what would you do like JD ................... send some mug to court to cover your ar$e.

Look out for where I have reproduced statements you have made on here elsewhere ............... and if you want your day in court because of my actions then bring it on .............. you are a non entity, a fictitious character and because of that you cannot even lay claim to anything.

So that's another layer of cab driver we must now have.

But what is your definition of thick, drivers paying tens of tousands for a piece of plastic seems a good place to start.

Why then are so many of these 10+ grand thickies making a good living, is it because they see an opertunity where you see an obsticle. The fact they can raise the money and make a profit from the business they buy shows they have something you clearly don't, business acumen.

It's because they have an endless supply of folks driving for them that can't afford the £50/60/80,000.

Which is why we have the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker owning plates, and earning their money off the back of licensed drivers.

So you are against the creation of jobs, the owners are providing work for these people, most Owners started as drivers its a progresion. Anything that is worth having has to be paid for. Do you think it fair and good for the trade to hand a plate to every person that can pass a simple knowlege test and a CRB. Public confidence in the trade would be quickly lost. Anything you get for nothing is worth exactly what you pay for it.

Yes 100%.

Anything else is far from fair.
