From new maybe, but from what I've heard my very near new motor is worth about 5 times your average WAV. :D

Splitting budgets and duplicating procedures is definitely not cost-effective, it takes half an hour to re- Licence a Hackney vehicle, 271, which equates to a hundred and 36 hours one person.

To a degree I agree, but surely it's only things like rank up-keep and SUD surveys that need to be kept separate. :?

So take them out of the PH budget, add them to yours, and then split the balance pro-rata.

That would be fine with me, but I don't think the private hire drivers would like the increase in their licence fees

If they refuse to fund the ranks, then they should be banned from touting from them late at night. [-(

Ive been on both sides of the coin,19 years of it but i always remember an old driver telling me that the ph stop the deregulation by helping to clear the city on a weekend and leave the work for the hacks through the week. He used to say what you dont see you dont miss. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but it was agreed this week in Liverpool to advertise for tenders on this years survey.

And to join this thread back up I suspect the local cab trade want the local PH trade to help pay for it.
They will not find any S U D in Liverpool . The omnipotent, Mr Delta is doing it all. The Sefton Hackney trade is slowly but surely, becoming the bitch of Delta and SRC . You have to admire Mr Delta, he realises he has the muscle and is not afraid to use it . Streetcars
