Mother lost her temper
A MOTHER lost her temper when she went round to her son's former girlfriend's home, a court was told.
Isobel Ansty kicked the ex's door and also her car.
Ansty, a 48-year-old taxi driver, of Overdale Grove, Grange Park, admitted two offences of damage.
Angus Craigen, prosecuting, said that on February 7 the defendant went round to the home of Carrie-Ann Greaves, her son's ex-partner.
Ansty shouted abuse at Ms Greaves and repeatedly kicked her front door before giving a back-heeled kick to her car.
Gary McAnulty, defending, said his client's son and Ms Greaves had been in a long-term relationship.
The couple broke up and on the day of the offences Ms Greaves had taken out a court injunction against her ex.
Ansty, who had no previous convictions, went to Ms Greaves home to collect some of her son's belongings. Ms Greaves at first agreed Ansty could come in but then slammed the door in her face.
She was given a six-month conditional discharge by Blackpool magistrates and must pay £50 compensation and £35 costs.
