That PH vastly outnumber HC in places like Leeds doesn't tell you something?

As I said further up the thread, you argument is about terminology, not substantive demand for PH, which only the blind could ignore.

Ok, put it to the test, ban PH ads from appearing along side Taxi ads, Stop Taxi companies giving work to PH unless the customer specifically requests a PH. Take the meters out of PH vehicles and require them to have a valid booking made demonstrativly prior to pick up time, no ASAP ad hoc bookings. Prove your claim.

Yes especially as they are still working and the tide of public opinion has turned against Dereg/Delimit.

As I said earlier.

55% restrict in 1985
45% restrict in 1996
28% restrict in 2007

Mr T. do you not see the pattern?

T, the debate on deregulation of numbers has moved on. It was an interesting topic while watching the 151 restricted councils address the Government guidance but that's now water under the bridge.

In todays climate there will always be councils who remove numbers control and some might even place the cap back on but it only becomes topical when it happens.

If your interested in any of the 245 or so councils who don't restrict numbers then you can follow their progress on TDO and see how many re-restrict in the comming months.

You might also wish to monitor the 90 or so councils who retain numbers control especially Poole who I hear could be up for a legal challenge to their in house survey and Bolton who are out of time with their demand survey.

IF YOU CANT ESTABLISH THAT EVERYTHING ELSE FALLS APART.

How much did you pay for your plate and how long ago did you buy in?

OK then, let's stop taxis doing pre-booked work unless the customer specifically requests a Hackney Carriage.

You're correct in that few people specifically request a PH vehicle, but you want to have your cake and eat it.

T, ive read some crap on here, normally from someone with an agenda to wind up/insult JD or Sussex, But the biggest load of steaming brown stuff ive ever read comes from your tiny mind.
Dont you realise you dont have an argument?

Everything i read with your signature attached is sheer drivel.
In fact ive decided not to read anything you post in future which is a shame, because it's interesting to read views that are opposed to my own, sometimes it even changes my way of thinking.
