You know i am a bit Thick . But would 8 and 9 of the above stop him doing this. Would he not risk loosing his operators license.

Certainly not, the sections you refer 8 and 9 SPECIFICALLY appertain to Private hire vehicles and private hire drivers but you will notice section 9 makes a distinction in respect of hackney carriage driver license. A licensed hackney carriage vehicle is not a licensed private hire vehicle and a hackney carriage licensed driver is not a licensed private hire driver. Therefore both sections do not relate to operating a hackney carriage, as no such license is needed to operate a hackney carriage.

If Mr Delta does go down that road, both hackney carriage vehicle and driver must be licensed in the same authority but he probably already knows that.

Regards

JD

It would be folly to assume you or anyone else on this forum is thick, although at times I suppose we all like to try and convince others of our naivety. lol

Therefore my assumption is that you have double standards, one for Carlisle and one for Brighton and the rest of the United Kingom.

Double-standards..... but according to this I have triple standards , losing the plot again I see.... I might remind you that unlike yourself I have not been torched by the hand of God, nor have I been designated to write all the wrongs that have ever been done, I suppose in one-way we should all be grateful at least you're not placing bombs in taxis,

And as for the name Graham, I have told you before I think it suits you, I see you still believe that the captain could be in two places at the same time, why am I not surprised.

No, Brighton and the rest of the UK count as one standard and Carlisle as another, otherwise there would be 342 standards.

I think people are aware of what transpired in Carlisle but they won't get that awareness from magazines such as Taxi Talk or Taxi Today but I suspect they might get it from certain other magazines.

You mention me righting all the wrongs of the Taxi trade, well if I could I would but exposing illegal conditions in the heartland of the National Taxi Association should not have been left to me. I don't think Wayne Casey will stand up at the NTA AGM and announce with glee the removal of the illegal condition, do you?

Regards

JD

I think that as an elected spokesperson for his association he can only present what he has been duly authorised to Say,, no more,, no less..

Tell me. when God speaks to you. is it a vision, or does he speak in tongues , or do you simply see him through the bottom of the whisky glass..

lol so the ones who would like to hang me from the nearest lamppost obviously wanted the exclusion to continue. Well that doesn't surprise me in the least and you think because the illegal condition wasn't challenged in 13 years the excluded majority were happy with it? If that be the case then they have the option of retaining the status quo and allowing only wavs to work it.

Summed up to a T.

Regards

John. lol

I visited Carlisle yesterday.

The lads there are not happy at all ................ I spoke to one driver at length who had recently bought a new Vectra and was concerned that he would be forced to sell it and buy a WAV in order to continue as a HC or re-licence as PH. As he had bought the car on HP he was concerned that the value of the car would not settle the finance owing on it so he may have no choice.

I asked if he was aware that certain people considered the conditions to be illegal and put pressure on the council to change it even though they didn't even work in Carlisle ................. he said that certain people had been suggesting a challenge but as they were all aware of the condition when they chose their vehicles and applied for licenses any challenge would have very limited support.

I think you have definitely dropped a bollock JD, your interference is going to have a financial implication on many people who made a choice .................... you and you alone have removed that choice from them and if they are all forced into WAVs you will have condemned some to bankruptcy or into your friends radio circuit.

Good work  well done :-k [-(

B. Lucky

Again people spread bull$hit and half truths, and some people are thick enough to believe it.

The Roadshow on the 11th of April at the Ravensdene Lodge Hotel in Gateshead is being organised by The Taxi Centre of Glasgow. I have agreed to help promote the event which is being supported by The GMB NORTHERN REGION.

Certain people want to support the event and have indicated that they may attend, the only invitations have been general invitations to the trade in the Northern Region, however absolutely anyone can come along if they wish to .................... but no prizes will be available for those who travel the greatest distance.

B. Lucky :D

Carlisle City Council today reaffirmed their policy of the Station Taxi Rank being for the sole use of wheelchair accessible vehicles.

I think you are pointing your finger in the wrong direction.

The council wanting to make the fleet 100% WAVs has got f*** all do with anyone interfering form outside.

Ask someone from inside for the full SP. As long as he is still talking to you.
