Strike action me thinks as there was no consultation, and any wav can stay on as long as it can, as there is no age limit on them or until it can no longer pass the test.

your dead right no consultation, a flier/comments given out to Hacs to take away and fill in at taxi licence renewal, but with misleading dates when to be handed in, in this case to be handed in after the council meeting to vote on the matter, this could be the start of a court case

i am lead to believe the PH hire in York are also very concerned, believe internal talks with PH and Hacs are to take place

I hope those talks are productive ....................... nothing achieves more than a trade speaking with one voice.

Dunno about strike action ................... but a good well orgainsed demo never does any harm. Contact the Police first and they will be very helpful.
