Anyway, the challenge is there. And if you keep opening your trap and refusing to accept the facts, then I WILL take the matter to the IR unilaterally and ask them to investigate. And, they would be all over all of his records, not just for the one week I drove for him. They'd be happy to do it just to make an example of him to the rest of the tax dodging herd.

As I said, they may not reclaim the cash - although I'm not so sure - but fraud IS a criminal offence. That's jail time. The thought of scumbag thug Milne in Jail energises me.

Any comments made by anyone about his wife served only to winkle him out, although I can't remember Milne's wife being referred to specifically. Not until Milne stuck his size nine's in and declared himself. Which would have been unecessary had he been honest and open. In any case any comments pale into insignificance compared with the name-calling and fone threats my family have been subjected to. You fight dirty, expect that dirt to come back and slap you in the face.

I was paying £100 a week (streetcar), even when he was in central I wasn't paying anywhere near £180 or £200 !

Sir, With all due respect, I think it is a bit late in the day for you to suddenly take the high moral ground regarding the last post. Thompson and Taylor have no respect or consideration whatsoever for anyone. They will use whatever language they see fit. They will try to humiliate and belittle anyone who does not agree with them. They will use the most personal insults that a normal human being would never dream of using. They are two of the most selfish individuals I have ever had the misfortune to come across. Their stock in trade is to attack people through forums without any regard to the consequences in the real world.

Ross, as far as I am concerned, has made it quite clear that their bullying tactics will not go unanswered.

I happen to think that the Edinburgh taxi trade has shown a great deal of restraint regarding these two people. It would not be the case in Liverpool........Love Mr T...IMO...

Mr Skull and Mr Taylor have taken a lot of s*** from folks in another place, and it appears they aren't going to accept it anymore.

The other lads in the other place think that they have had enough of Mr Taylor and Mr Skull.

Regrettably I think this isn't going to have a happy ending for all. I wish that wasn't the case.

Trevor, it would appear you have a short and selective memory. I seem to recall that the vilification was first perpetuated by those who felt they had a divine right in dictating to Mr Thompson that he was a form of sub human species for having the audacity to apply for a license plate. When Mr Taylor put his mark on the debate he was also vilified and so was anyone who had the audacity to express an opinion about gaining access into the Edinburgh taxi trade without paying a kings ransom of 45 grand for the privilege.

Now if you like I can show you what was said but it would only add to the flames. Even the forum you participate in which is now extinct perpetrated the crime of abuse against Mr Thompson so please lets get the facts right before you put pen to paper.

One thing's for sure, I reckon most of those owners who sold out and took the "King's Shilling" will apply for another licence as soon as they can.

Remember TC, every new taxi licence issued will be a vote to say how right I was. And how wrong you and the rest of the cowardly sniping crew were.

Every new licence is the vote in the plebiscite which will put your gas at a peep.

I can't wait.

When Edinburgh falls, I reckon the rest of the restricted councils will too. Then some commercial sanity and justice will come to drivers who are being ripped off by owners demanding high rentals and restricting them to the poorer nights.

Meanwhile the already good owners will do a reasonable deal with their drivers and they will benefit too. The owners from a new driver loyalty, and the drivers from better conditions, but alwayswith the option to buy in if warranted.

The losers will be those who will write the imaginary cheque for £50,000 then tear it up in front of their partners and, while bubbling with tears, try to explain why a large part of their "wealth" and pension has now disappeared. Their illusion of being a businessman shattered. In their own minds, their status to their friends embarrassingly diminished.

Meanwhile the rest of us will be going about our normal business, providing a better service to our customers, and being handsomely rewarded for it.

And all because the cretins have a £50 grand plate, which they can never own, and which I am taking away from them in order to bring justice to drivers.

Anyway, their threats are all powderpuff. The problems the trade has is because they're all talk and no action.

As for Ross's slavish support of Milne. He obviously didn't read my quoting from my own records. The rental was nightshift, I've never worked day shift apart for a couple of weeks when I started 15 years ago. So someone is feeding him shecht.

And I have offered Milne to take our respective records before the Revenue and account for them. Speaks volumes eh?

I also offered to do this unilaterally because I deplore the odious little pipsqueak. And I've no doubt he's been at the lash for years.
