S6... if you check it you'll find that JD never advocates any type of change in his own city (Manchester) he wouldn't want to affect his standard of living..

So who actually represents this forum im confused ????

TDO says they dont advocate licensing in other areas yet JD states TDO will fight for this very thing and back a young lady doing it ??????

Sorry im lost here?

Don't be lost, we all have our opinions but we never lose site of the bigger picture and if this lady solicited the help of TDO for advice then it would be given according to the standing of the law. Having strong opinions about a subject doesn't mean that advice can't be factual and that is one of the driving forces of this website.

I don't turn around and say I'm not playing ball just because I might prefer a different option to the one being advocated. If it is within our power we help those who ask for our advice and we can't do any better than that.

Besides, on TDO's fourth Birthday which was yesterday it is entitled to show the world that on some issues there is a difference of opinion.

Regards

JD

It wouldn't do to agree all the time. That would be very dull.

Well you do seem easily lost

Seriously though, it's a reasonable point, Mr S6 Conversion specialist.

What happened was that initially I used to post as Dusty Bin, but since I wrote most of the articles for the site I changed my ID to TDO to make it clear that I was representing the site and could answer any points relating to the articles etc.

It's a while since I wrote any articles, and JD has become the site's de facto representative (particularly externally), so to that extent my persona on this forum might have become a bit misleading, so we may have to think about changing things.

The problem is that the site and forum has always been pretty informal organisation wise, and things have happened piecemeal and incrementally rather than in a 'big bang' style, so things may get out of kilter a bit.

But not with un-licensed drivers taking folks from A to B for payment in un-licensed vehicles.

With comments like that from someone who's meant to be a good guy it comes as no surprise to me that there are so many bad guys involved in the limo trade.
