I agree with all taxis in there respective area being 1 colour, as long as there is room for maneuver in the shade of colour and the vehicle can be bought from a dealership in that shade without the need of a re-spray and if it is implemented only at the change of vehicle time, and not suddenly imposed like York has done

Well said, and I think the problems arise when an uncommon colour (such as yellow) is specified. Lots of taxis used to be white, for example, and it used to be a popular colour, but not any more.

It's also easier if it's saloons rather than PBs, because obviously there's a bigger market so cars are easier to find and dispose of, particularly in the days of the internet.

I think silver is the most popular car colour these days, so buying and selling shouldn't be too much bother.

It will limit choice in regard to buying a second hand motor, as well as selling yours on to another driver if it's not the right colour.

I think that's why they picked silver.

I don't think I fancy having the council logo emblasoned all over my motor either.

I think we have to bear in mind what are cars are, they are licensed vehicles licensed by councils.

TBH I couldn't give a stuff what logo go on my motor, as long as it help me pick up punters.

And help keep punters away from the bad guys.

Surely a single colour would make more sense for PH as they are harder to identify?

I think most members of the taxi trade like it that way.
