Next week in Liverpool will be the second meeting of minds

Simple minds? lol

Just joking.

So the vested interests are having a little get together? I can just see the agenda.

Restricted numbers and how to create more?
Deregulation and how to stop it?
Delimitation and where did we go wrong?
Taxi Driver online how do we silence it?

Then there will be the motions from the floor. I invite readers of TDO to submit what motions they think might be forthcoming from the meeting of simple minds.

I shouldn't poke fun at these guys after all they are only doing what's best for themselves? lol

Regards

JD

The fact is Kermit, just like the pink ladies issue, we see it as illegal hire or reward, regardless of the type of vehicle, Perhaps you see it from a different perspective? Which being a limo operator is understandable.

Kermit, you keep on going on about pots and kettles - implying that i'm some kind of hypocrite - but in fact I'm being entirely the opposite with this and indeed entirely consistent with what I've said in the past regarding various other aspects of the trade.

So if you think I can historically support tougher licensing and enforcement but now kow tow to the distinctly dubious unregulated operation of some limos then you can think again.

I can see what you're up to - you can't address the points being made so you're just throwing mud around to deflect attention from your own shortcomings and in the process hoping that some of the mud will stick on others.

Either that or you're way out of your depth.

So which is it?

Not so. Limos were brought into many of the threads on here by limo guys.

TBH I'm over the moon the limo lads are on here, cos without them giving us the info on this self-drive scam it might not have been high-lighted for what it is, or maybe for what it isn't.

I have always wanted to see a way forward for limo licensing, under sensible and attainable regulations. Thing is I'm not that sure many in the limo trade also want that. [-(

From what I see locally they just want to run un-licensed and un-checked, and I don't see much pressure from the national limo trade to end that chaos.

All I see is some in the limo trade doing their best to blind folks into believing that what's illegal is in fact legal.

How often do I have to state the obvious? However, I'll have another go since once again you seem to be misrepresenting me.

1 - I have in the main slated only the S6 scam, and if I've slated it it's because pertinent questions that I and others have put to you haven't been adequately addressed.

You may like to think that I've slated all limo ops, but this isn't the case.

2 - Yes, I know not all taxi ops are whiter than white, in fact I've spent the last few years on here saying so.

So claiming that I defend the less scrupulous people in the taxi trade is bullocks and presumably intended to misrepresent and thus demonise me.
