Getting a deposit up front didn't do this driver any good and it probably wouldn't have made any difference if the driver had got the full amount up front? Being in a saloon car made the driver even more vulnerable but if you compare this instance with the Leicester instance where the cabby was convicted of refusing to drive then it begs the question about what constitutes reasonable cause to refuse to drive?

Very interesting. I had a call at about 6.00pm this evening, the caller had a bit of an irish accent and wanted picking up at Langer airfield. Fortunatly I read the story in this thread and decided that I was not available for the job. Thanks Sussex. :wink:

Why is that story in the peterborough ET if the driver was from bristol and the incident took place at Bingham ?
