Since Dr Beeching cut you lot off from civilisation, you have never been the same. Bet you can't wait on the railway coming back? :wink:

I'd get my enquires done now re the permit situation.

GBC If by a miracle the line does re open in 3 years time, we wont need a permit as the rank will be a lay by next to the road :D

Uckfield to Lewes rail link gets Government boost


MR Sussex in one of the 2 links in my first post the black path mentioned and shown in the song, is the old line, and thats where its going to go back
We have just got back to normal after 14 months of road works while they built a tunnel in the town so I expect our will be up and running some time in the future

As the lonesome 'Paul' says in the comments section, they've been talking about that for 40 years.

In Scotland (bow) the Parliament have been very forward in re-opening long closed lines.

Stirling - Alloa - Kincardine

The Waverley line - going ahead

Bathgate to Airdrie - funding in place

Larkhall - open . . .

Anyone for train spotting?
