There's too many things about this that are either ignored or pushed aside for expediences sake and you keep contradicting your own arguments.

I notice from your post to Saf that you speak about your politics and how you are going to use them to beat us down, to win the argument.

I doubt anyone knows what your Politics are, one minute your Mrs Thatchers and Milton Friedman's biggest fan although you claim to be a dyed in the wool old Labour socialist, in some of your writings you would give Lenin,Marx and Engle a run for their money.

Whatever your Politics are they seem to be woefully out of date, your constantly looking back to find answers for these perceived injustices you have suffered at the hands of the council.

Perhaps you could tell me why you and you alone assumed the right to dictate the terms and conditions of the trade we all share, when did you get that remit and from whom? Not me thats for sure.

When I read some of this stuff it would appear that you may be doing this for vexatious reasons, maybe revenge or something, who knows.

One things for sure though, Edinburgh will not be deristricting the number of Taxis at your request and solely your request, some more plates being issued because of a technicality doesn't amount to derestriction.

I reckon you will have to learn to live with it for some time to come yet.

If you do not have any prior knowledge of the other issues I alluded to there is no point in speaking to you about it, it would just cause more fear for you and fear leads to prejudice and remember the mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye, the more light you pour on it, the more it will contract.

Stu, you are a mental case who has just parted with 50K for something that has no intrinsic value -do yourself a favour and seek professional help

If plate numbers are truly derestricted, they will have no value.
Why would anyone pay for something freely available from the council?

But their not going to be derestricted. Thats just Jim and Skull being judge, jury and executioner again, they like to prejudge the outcome of everything when nobody ever really knows, adults realise this and take sensible precautions incase it goes against you.

Stu, the council won't let you drive a taxi if your address is the Andrew Duncan Clinic?

The problem is, every time someone parts with 50k it becomes the best thing since sliced bread. It's idiots like stu that make the system work.

Stu, is a lunatic but you're right it's his money.

BTW, I've yet to see someone recoup their money after spending it on a plate - you buy a job - end of.

Buyer and seller both delighted,do you know Skull I might even buy myself a new fleece, LTI do a nice one,it's more of a lifestyle really. :P

Of course it's idiots like me that make the system work but at least it works and Auldyin is right, I'm in this for the long term, the licence is going onto a nice new Euro IV wheelchair accessible Taxi, the licence is forgotten about already. 8)

Anyway, I've got work to do so it's off to infinity and beyond. 8) 8) 8)

Well GA I doubt many would disagree with that but there are a number of issues that have so far been ignored in the great Jasbar saga of de-restriction.

I doubt it will ever happen, at least not in the way Jasbar and the rest are suggesting and not unless other issues are sorted out first, but there is little point in trying to discuss these issues with such blinkered thinkers.

I would also add that as is usual in this country the money goes to those least deserving of it. Only joking

So bright boy. You allude to igonred issues. But don't tell us what they are.

So, come across with them. tell us all?

8)

More tripe from saf and stu, but they're not telling us what they think the issues are.

Come across boys.

You've got everything to lose. So tell us.

And, while you're at it, tell us that you've written to the council to implore them to turn up.

Aye right Jim, apology rejected, is Rixa a defence for defamation?

I just said it in the "heat of the argument" twenty-five minutes later you posted your statement in response to my post and what made you think that it was about or even aimed at you anyway.

Not everythings about you, you self centred half-witted idiot.

How many times have you tried that one on these forums with people, often people who were not in anyway even connected with the taxi trade other than by the fact someone in their family drove or owned a taxi.

Anyway your a totally dreadful human being, of that there can be no doubt.

Stu, you're a basket case.

Don't you read the papers? Or listen to the radio? Or how about some market research?

I can't understand how you came up with the idea to buy at the worst time possible?

Didn't you know the council are in court on the 5th of may? That's all of the councillors on the reg-com, and their corporate services department cited as witnesses?

You would have been better gambling £1205 on an application.

Councillors will have to perjure themselves in the witness box to win and even then I don't think they can pull it off.

The press are going to be in attendance to report on the fireworks.:D

Stu, this could be the fastest 50K you've ever spent.

You're a madman.

Btw, I'm betting the council bottle it and cave in at the Eleventh Hour

Thats a hell of a lot of betting coming from a man who is financially embarrassed. Is this the same eleventh hour as the last case or the case before that.

Oh deary me Saf, all that fear, you must be shi*ing it big time. You should learn to hide your emotions, it only goes to expose your weakness. As for being “financially embarrassed“ think, one man and his working son without any debt. You would love to have my overheads Saf? No matter how bad it gets for me it can only be hell of a lot worse for you. I’m only glad I don’t have your money worries, now that’s what really brought you to this forum, isn’t it Saf?

What will the council do?

Are they prepared to perjure themselves in court to protect the likes of Saf?

I wouldn’t put it past them but somehow I doubt it.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in life, is that, everything is relative. Unless you have a life style that allows you to live in a rarefied atmosphere - where time takes on a different meaning - you are just another rat.

You see Saf, I refuse to play by societies rules and quite frankly, I don’t see you or your kind as anything more than vermin. You should be thankful there are laws in this county that protect scum like you. The system obviously has a use for you that I don’t - another mindless unit of production perhaps?

Hold on tight to that illusion Saf, I wouldn't have it any other way :)

Gary, you seem to forget what i have already told you in the past.
What would i be "shi*ing myself for? Im assuming you think i have a lot to lose.Once again Gary you are so wrong, plate bought and paid for long long ago.Bought plate in 1985 and not for 50k.Yes i have a driver and i don't charge him anywhere near the £300+ a week mark that you seem to think all drivers pay.Gary, you could not hide your emotions if your life depended on it,just have a look at all your previous rants, they are all words coming from a very desperate individual who's whole life depends on if he does or does not succeed in his crusade against the council.
You have shown your weakness far to often Gary, just look at the time you assaulted an older driver who was about double your age and 10 stone lighter [-X Gary we both know about your financial situation don't we,you are on your knees praying that you get a plate, this is the only way you see yourself getting out of this. You want yet another plate so you can sell it on and still carry on your hatred towards anything taxi and council related.Just ask your wee pal Ali T,all the morals he was supposed to have went out the window. Why would i want your overheads Gary, that means i would be up to my eyes in debt.My overheads are just fine Gary,if they where not i would'nt have went away on my second holiday this year and just renewed my car
Tell me how many times you been away since you started your nonsense?
What really brought me to this forum was to show you as the hideous little man you are.Gary the "skull"Thomson, sounds like a name you made up after you assaulted the old man.Heres a better and more fitting one for you Gary....Gary the"coward"Thomson,i think this is more suited don't you. After the court hearing will you and your hero come on here and tell us all what really happened,or will you come up with more of the same rubbish that the council and everybody involved are corrupt

You have chucked it Saf, you are off the planet

That's fear fu*king with your head Saf

Oh I know, you've nothing to lose, aye right ....

Gary, you are desperate to keep the wolves from the door, why if you don't need the money, would you sell a plate straight away if you were to receive one.In debt up to your eyeballs, thats why.Credit cards and re-mortgages and all that
My feet are firmly on planet earth Gary,it's just a shame you are to far gone to believe that not everyone is as desperate as you
You really do have to stay of the bottle.

saf, given the childish nature of your posts, their inherent inaccuracy and the pedantry with which you deliver them, in your alter ego you're a councillor, aren't you?

Good one Jim that must have taken a while
Tell me who taught you all the big words?,i know it wasn't Gary,he only repeats everything you say,i know it's the little oxford isn't it.
Yes i am a councillor but not the kind you think,i tend to deal with the people with more serious issues such as paranoia and people who can't stop telling lies.

Saf, the only reason you post on this forum is to engage with Jim and I. This is your way of standing up for yourself. A little bit of feel good factor for a desperate someone that nobody will ever know. Oh and spare me the, “I have got it all” routine - you’ve got squat, or at least nothing that won’t disappear in a heart beat. You see Saf, it’s the council that decide your level of existence, as it is they who control your little illusion, you are merely a pawn in a bigger game. The sad thing is, you will probably never have the wit to realise this.

This is the point where you post stupid banal comments you think are really clever - now imagine what you could write if you ever had a thought of your own.

Skull, original though requires communication between two or more brain cells. That rules amoeba man saf out completely.

What I find enjoyable is witnessing his intrinsic fear of what he perceives will happen following de-restriction.

He doesn't even have to wit to realise that over 70% of local authorities are de-restricted, including London, and they all seem to survive. It's not the bogey he thinks it is - once you get over the hurdle of losing the plate value of course

Saf, you have so much that nobody knows who you are? Strange that don't you think? You can claim what you like but can't back it up, now isn't that just you saf?

You live in a fantasy world Saf, along with the rest of the "plate owning", taxi driving, millionaires

The truth is Saf, it's the council that decide the terms and conditions of your existence and that's why you hide, because deep down, you know it's true.

The council own you Saf, and that's no ones fault but your own, they can strip your little world away in a heartbeat.

You're a worried man Saf . .. a very worried man . . . . :D

Now I remember, you are on this forum because you're not worried, silly me. It is you who tells the council what to do. Lucky the are all "fit and proper" to look after your interests. I am sure you have nothing to worry about.
