SCOTLAND'S CABBIES UNDER ATTACK

http://www.forth2.com/Article.asp?id=16202

A study's revealed almost a third of taxi drivers in Scotland have been physically attacked in the last year. More than 250 cabbies from across the country took part in the survey, which also highlights a worrying lack of incidents being reported. 4 out of 5 drivers said they'd experienced verbal abuse over the last 12 months and over a quarter said they're attacked on a weekly basis. But many are reluctant to report these incidents, with 37% stating there was "no point" and 20% saying they felt it was "part of the job". The research was commissioned to support the Scottish Government's Violence at Work campaign, set up to tackle the problem of workplace abuse. The Scottish Taxi Federation is now urging the public to check their own behaviour when entering a taxi.

We need to get a grip up here and introduce a first cab only rule.
I know in most area's this already happens but in the smaller towns in Scotland folk just jump in the one they know.
if it was introduced it could cut down on the attacks and if CCTV was installed at the front of the ranks this would also help.
Every cab is the same price in there own area at the end of the day

It's simple: you don't driver anywhere under pressure. If you feel coerced or pressured into doing a fare, stop the cab, empty the bas*ard - no excuses and no explanations - end of - make your own decisions - take your own control.

The above is as good as it gets when you jump into my taxi.

If you want to kiss as* then be my guest.
