I am waiting for the suggestion to amalgamate the champions league and the EUFA cup into a full league across Europe with at least 4 divisions with qualification in the same way as now. Then the teams who are competing from England would not compete in the league cup and other countries would do similar.

And all these years I always called it Uefa cup never knew it was Eufa cup #-o

I think the powers that be are already planning a new format for the champions league sooner or later there will be a European super league but in place of the champions league and of course under Uefa control

Super League president Perez did warn that the contracts the 12 clubs signed on Sunday night are "binding" and suggested fines could be issued to any team that U-turns.

"The contract of the Super League is binding. Nobody can leave, we will work altogether," Perez told El Chringuito. "All the clubs signed the contracts last Saturday. There's no problem."

Upset indeed, but if you invade the pitch for a protest, then at least ensure the game doesn't go ahead.

In the 1990s when things weren't to clever for B&HA, the fans invaded the pitch, dug it up and smashed the cross bars.

Not saying that was legal but it had the desired effect.

The game didn't go ahead. I think the FA may issue a very large fine and possibly deduct points for failing to control their fans.

I don't think that is fair since the club wasn't to know this was going to happen after all no fans were supposed to be there it would be different if the fans were admitted to the ground and then the club failed to control them.

After all if a burglar breaks into your house and wrecks it is that your fault ?

I also think the article mentioned the game didn't go ahead after consulting the FA

It doesn't matter if you think it is fair. The FA have rules and if they are breached then there are consequences. Of course the FA were consulted before the decision to abandon the game was made. Every professional game has an FA representative present. Also with respect, the club were well aware that there was going to be a protest. They were told by the supporters group that there was going to be a protest. The police were aware that there was going to be a protest and it is the clubs responsibility to ensure the safety and conduct of everyone.

For reasons that make no sense whatsoever.

When B&HA had their slight kerfuffle the FA docked us 6 points with 3 of them suspended.

I bet you they don't do that to Man U. [-(

I think they probably will. They have not yet sorted out the penalty for joining the super league.

presumably the super league thing will be a fine

I did see a figure quoted from an unreliable source that Uefa were talking of a 1 billion euro fine levied collectively between all 12 clubs

The thing is I haven't seen mention of the FA calling them in for an explanation or disciplinary hearing aren't these things announced fairly soon after the event ?

If it does happen I think it will be applied at the start of next season
