Would you like to come and take a look at our books? We certainly don't print money.

On a gradual downward slide, now $47.81.

Just a dollar or two up from the original listing price.

Currently $44.71, just a few cents up on when they listed two year ago.

And one of their major shareholders is selling 30% of their holdings in Uber.

Currently $43.04 after having a post results wobble.

In the last quarter Uber lost $1.19 billion dollars, but as they use the creative EBITDA accounting numbers they only lost $509 million. :-k

Apparently investors don't seem to care much about issues like tax and investment costs. #-o

Currently Uber are $42.51 a share, and my mate Hubert Horan has recently published some more articles that folks who follow the Uber charade might find interesting.

This fella who Uber must dislike the most has put into words much better than me how Uber have used creative accounting in their latest report.

https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2021/08 ... trics.html

He also pours utter scorn on the investment press who sucker up to Uber and aren't too bright, or choose to not be too bright, when it comes to explaining Uber's PR and spin.

https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2021/08 ... lling.html

And lastly he explains that even if Uber had a market share of 95% they still wouldn't make money by comparing them to their Chinese equivalent who have that share and still don't make money.

share prices and company results are 2 different things

what if ubers office site trebled in value or oil was found under it (and they owned the mineral rights)?

It's not just that, it's the fact that these so called experts have spent the last 5 years saying how much Uber are going to make in the years to come, and possibly have invested in them.

So telling the truth now will lose some of them face, and a lot of them bundles of cash.

are shareholders "investors" or just ticket buyers/sellers where the product itself is of no real importance

and the assets/land/pension of the company can be worth more than any production profit?

Someone else puts Uber's situation in a nice and easy read.
