Sat front rank early evening and a punter comes up to me and asks will you take me to Elizabeth road ( about 0.9 miles) or do I need to get in the one behind ? I told him he's welcome to get him and took him but during the journey I ascertained that he is one of a growing number of punters who are becoming conditioned to "cherry picking " and expect to have to walk along the rank to find one that will take them in fact it is getting to the stage now that 60 to 70 % of punters take taxis from the back of the rank I have to wonder whose fault is this ? is it ourselves for not complaining more loudly and aggressively to the council or is it the council for refusing to take action |

What exactly would you be complaining about and what exactly do you expect your council to do about it? As far as I am aware the punter can go in any vehicle they choose. |
